A NEW ‘TOUCH’ FOR XBLADES

A NEW ‘TOUCH’ FOR XBLADES

The original creator of the bladed sole football boot, XBlades has secured a new partnership as the Exclusive Footwear Partner of Touch Football Australia [TFA].

The new partnership with TFA will see XBlades provide footwear to TFA elite athletes, members and collaborate with Touch Football’s best players to revolutionise the boots further, with the aim of providing improved comfort and playing longevity.

XBlades CEO Leighton Richards is thrilled to partner with Touch Football, a sport that has very strong participation rate all year round and has been a driving force in the development of Rugby 7’s and Rugby League (NRL) players for some time.

“XBlades is committed to developing high quality products specifically for Australia’s key football and rugby codes. We have an integrated approach to product development, allowing us to produce even better performing, and more stylish, products for professional and everyday players.

“Many Touch Football players currently use footwear adapted from other sports which can have an impact on physical performance. Through this new partnership we’ll collaborate with elite players who will help drive our research and development of a Touch Football specific shoe which will better service the requirements of the sport.” Richards said.

Colm Maguire, Chief Executive Officer of Touch Football Australia said: “Touch Football is among the top participant based, organised sports in Australia. It’s great to attract and indeed renew the support of an iconic Australian brand like XBlades, which is dedicated to supporting our aim of growing and developing the game.”This new partnership is the latest move as part of XBlades’ serious brand reinvigoration under new direction; with ex Callaway Golf Director Leighton Richards and former AFL superstar Jimmy Bartel at the helm.

Touch Football players and officials are excited for the partnership.

“I’ve been wearing XBlade boots for the past decade- since I was 15. I really enjoy wearing XBlades and I feel like they benefit my performance when I’m playing Touch” Pete Noman, Men’s Open’s player commented.

Team XBlades currently consists of more than 40 NRL and AFL stars including Paul Gallen and Alex Rance to ensure the product meets the needs of current professional players. 2017 will see several high profile player signings, additional club partnerships and the unveiling of XBlades full collection.
